FAQ

Does it work without drilling into the wall?
Yes โ€” the over-door option requires no tools or wall fixings. Simply hook it over a standard door. Wall mounting requires the included hardware.

Will it fit my ironing board?
It is compatible with most standard T-frame and Y-frame ironing boards. Check your board frame type before ordering.

Can the iron be stored in the basket while still warm?
Allow the iron to cool fully before placing it in the basket. The basket is designed for storage, not for a hot iron.

Hanging hardware not compatible with all doors

I ordered this ironing board hanger to replace an existing over the door storage shelf which did not have the hardware to hang a new ironing board. This over the door hanger is quite sturdy, once assembled. Size of the storage shelf is large enough for our iron. There are 2 small accessory hangers which clip onto the main shelf. Although convenient to hang smaller items, the clips are not secured in anyway and come off easily when removing items hanging from (some double sided tape may help to keep in place).I opted to hang this storage shelf as my closet door is hollow and will not support the weight of an ironing board. Unfortunately the โ€œover the doorโ€ hanging hardware does not work for doors with an inner trim/jamb. The inside part of the hangers stick out several inches which prevents the door from closing as the hanger hits the inside door trim/jamb. I deducted 2 stars for this issue and the loose clips. Unfortunately this shelf is useless to me as I canโ€™t mount it to the door itself and the hanging hardware is not compatible with our closet door.

Efficient, attractive storage

Our home is newly renovated and our interior doors fit tightly so I was concerned that this organizer would not work but due to the adjustable hangers, it fits like a champ.I like -* Lots of space. I can store my oversized iron and still have lots of room left over.* It's not an eyesore. In fact, it's actually attractive looking.* Easy to assemble thanks to complete, illustrated instructions.* Seems sturdy.Note -* There are a few sharp corners on the flat base of the hanger, where the hook slots are so be careful when handling.Worth it? Yep. Very happy with my new hanger.

Quality construction, but small basket mounts high on a door; installation can take extra effort

I ordered the โ€˜Upgraded 2-in-1โ€™ version. Although notably more expensive, the upgraded version allows for a custom, snug fit for the hangers that go over a door. That feature appears to be the only upgrade for the โ€˜Upgraded 2-in-1โ€™ version. Without that upgrade, the standard version results in a 5/8โ€ total gap from each bracket to the door face of a 1 3/8โ€ thick door (like mine).Assembly was fairly straight-forward, but installation was more troublesome. A well-mounted door will close snugly against its door frame. Mounting this basket to my garage side door required chiseling 1/8โ€ deep mortises to accommodate the two brackets that hang over it and onto the outside surface of the door. Without providing for this accommodation, the door would not close sufficiently for the doorโ€™s latch and lock to engage (see attached photos). A sharp wood chisel, a mallet, and a step ladder are recommended to cut such mortises. When hung on a door using the ungraded door brackets, the basket is located high up on the door; its wood bottom is only about 13โ€ from the top of the door. For those of only average height or shorter, they may find this high basket location too impractical. Of course, longer brackets to provide for a lower basket position would be a desirable option.Bottom-line: While the basket and its accessories are strong and well-made, the basket is quite small and mounts very high up on a door. Accommodating that mounting brackets by chisel mortising the door frame takes some proper tools, extra time, and skill.

Well designed ironing board holder

This ironing board hangar is well designed and well made. There is a plain wooden board on the bottom of the shelf. Otherwise, everything else is metal. There is the option to either wall mount this or to hang it on a door. You can hang the iron board hangar hooks either at an angle for those ironing boards whose legs angle outwards, or flat, which allows ironing boards like mine with a flat crossbar low on the legs to hang as well. There are a couple of hanging accessories hooks as well.

Frees Up Closet Space

Iโ€™ve been looking for something like this to free up closet space while making items needed for ironing readily accessible & all in one place. This organizing holder can be used in two ways, either by putting it over the back of a door or mounting it to the wall. Installation directions are provided for both as well as all hardware needed & an Allen wrench with an end shaped liked that of a Phillips screw driver. Assembly was relatively easy but expect to get a small amount of oil from the nuts & bolts on your fingers during assembly. One thing to note is that the bottom of ironing board legs Iโ€™ve seen have come in two different configurations, straight & curved, the latter of which had previously been very hard to be able to find offered for sale. This ironing board holder/organizer has been designed in such a way that it can be used to hold either ironing boards with legs coming in either style.

Keeps laundry room in order

This ironing board hanger is a great space-saving organizer for my laundry room. I like that it can be mounted on the wall or hung over the door regardless of door size as the width can be expanded or retracted. It securely holds both my ironing board and iron and there's room to put spray starch and also a small steamer on the hook on the side. The sturdy metal construction feels durable, the high-sided basket keeps everything in place. There's also a small hook on one side where the iron's cord can be rolled up neatly. Installation was straightforward, and it helps to keep my laundry area neat and clutter-free. Overall, it's a practical and well-designed storage solution.

Does not fit over all doors.

Does not fit over all doors. If the gap between the door and the frame is too small this will not fit at all. The top part that goes over the door is screwed together to adjust for different door widthsโ€ฆ but I personally donโ€™t like the appearance of the piece that sticks straight out.Keep in mind this prevents you from opening the door all the way so it could bang into whatever is behind it. My dad didnโ€™t know I put this in the guest bathroom door and he opened it with a pretty loud bang as it hit the wall. The basket itself also sits pretty high up so it may be difficult to reach. The quality seems ok. It is pretty straightforward to put together, there were a couple of chips in the white paint. The wooden board is unfinished so maybe be careful what you put on it or else it may stain the wood. The hooks that clip to the sides are not very sturdy and can get knocked out of place pretty easily, I wish there was a way to make it slip on more snug. The same with the hooks on the bottom - they move quite a bit. The concept is good with the adjustable slots. However I am not sure I like this enough to keep it over my door.

Holds my heavy vintage ironing board like a champ

I have an old cast-iron ironing board with Y-shaped legs, and I was worried it wouldn't fit. The bottom hooks handled it easily. This holder is built like a tank โ€“ thick metal and real wood. I loaded the basket with my iron, a full water bottle, and fabric spray, plus hung my board, and it didn't even creak. My sewing room has never been so organized. Plus, the farmhouse look is cute enough to leave out.

Bypassed the Quirky Door Hooks to Conquer Broom Closet Chaos!

First warning for anyone looking at this: THIS WILL NOT WORK ON THE INSIDE OF A SHUT DOOR. Due to the way the over-the-door hooks are engineeredโ€”featuring an extra lip and adjustable screws rather than being a flush, single pieceโ€”it prevents the door from closing properly if hung on the inside if you have the molding strip in the center of the door frame. I honestly can't see any mechanical benefit to why they designed it this way instead of the classic, single piece of bent metal most organizers use.The Pivot to Wall MountingThankfully, as soon as I saw the door hooks were going to be a bust, I just bypassed that part of the setup altogether. I took my original game plan and screwed the main unit directly to the back wall of my utility closet instead.Surprise Storage SpaceTo my surprise, it actually came with two extra hook-type accessories that werenโ€™t clearly shown in the product photos. Between the little wire shelf/basket, the main hanging arms, and those bonus hooks, this thing can actually hold quite a bit of gear.Conquering the ChaosRight now, mine is loaded up with all of our vacuum accessories, extra steam mop pads, and random cleaning attachments. You know exactly what kind of clutter Iโ€™m talking aboutโ€”those rogue parts that normally just float around the bottom of the broom closet, hiding when you actually need them, only to fall out and hit you in the face when you open the door? Yeah, those are all perfectly contained now.The VerdictThe over-the-door mounting hardware is a total design miss, but if you treat this as a pure wall-mount organizer, it is absolutely fantastic. Worth it just for the restored sanity in my utility closet!

very well made...

The laundry room is officially uncluttered! This space saving organizer is perfect for both mounting on the wall or hanging over the door. This has so many functional uses, with all its baskets and adjustable hooks. The sleek, and slim design give your space more room. and it looks good, all at the same time. The steel material that this is made of is very strong and durable. To look at it, you wouldn't think that it is able to support a lot of weight, but it can, and it does it with style too. Setting this up was not difficult at all, it was pretty simple and straightforward. This ironing board hanger is perfect for every household, it is stable, and it is well made. I choose to use the over the door option, and it does not disappoint. The cost is more than reasonable, I love it, and I highly recommend this (I didn't think I needed something like this) adjustable product.

Great storage solution with one design flaw

I really like this organizer and needed the extra storage space for my laundry area. It holds my ironing board, iron, and other accessories neatly in one place, and it was easy to assemble. The only issue I ran into was with the over-the-door design. The included screws are too bulky, which prevented my door from closing properly. Instead, I ended up screwing the organizer directly to the door, and it works perfectly that way. I just wish I didn't need to modify the installation. The basket and extra hooks are very useful, and the organizer feels sturdy once mounted. If you're willing to wall- or door-mount it instead of hanging it over the door, it's a great way to save space and keep everything organized.

Practical storage for a small laundry room

I have a very small laundry room, so Iโ€™m always looking for anything that can help reduce clutter and make better use of the limited space. This organizer has been really practical for that and does help free up storage room.My only issue was with the over-the-door setup. I wasnโ€™t able to use it that way because it affected how well the door closed, so I ended up mounting it instead. I didnโ€™t personally mind doing that, but itโ€™s something to be aware of if youโ€™re specifically planning to hang it over a door. Depending on your door and the hardware, the brackets or screws may interfere with closing.Once mounted, though, it worked well and gave me the extra storage I needed. Overall, itโ€™s a useful space-saving item, especially for a small laundry room, but the over-the-door option may not work for every setup.

Perfect Space-Saving Organizer for a Dorm Room

This organizer is perfect for a college dorm room where space is at a premium. I bought it for my son's dorm, and it's a great way to keep an ironing board and iron organized, along with other wash/dey items without taking up valuable floor or closet space. The over-the-door design makes installation quick and easy, and the basket is perfect for holding the iron or other small laundry essentials. The side hooks are also handy for keeping everything together in one place.I especially like that it helps maximize vertical storage, which is so important in a small dorm room. Instead of having an ironing board leaning in a corner, everything stays neatly organized and easy to access. If you're shopping for dorm essentials or looking for smart storage solutions for a small space, this is a practical, sturdy organizer that helps keep everything tidy and out of the way.
